Why is my C drive red?

What does the title mean? I don’t know the meaning yet. Until yesterday, I found my C drive was red. Generally speaking, C drive has been used as system drive. Compared with other partitions, it became red because the space was not enough. Since I’m a green hand in computer, I have no idea about it.

My friends told me the only way is to reinstall the operating system for repartitioning the hard disk. However, the reinstalled procedures will undertake the risk of data losing and cost a lot of time, which doesn’t seem a good idea to me. So, is there any way can help me?

Partition magic to extend C drive

Having searched the Internet, I have found the partition magic—AOMEI Partition Assistant Hone Edition. It is totally free for private and commercial users. With this easy-to-use software, I can repartition the hard disk without losing data. Meanwhile, it is time-saving and most of operations needn’t to reboot the computer. It is the fantastic tool providing four methods to extend system drive. I will introduce them to you one by one.

Resize/Move Partition

It is the basic operation to expand volumes. By resizing the volumes to free some unallocated space, then move these space directly behind C drive. At last, use the resize function to expand the system drive.

Merge Partition

It can merge two adjacent partitions and any unallocated space into the system drive directly.

Allocate Free Space

This function is very convenient to use. Just two steps can extend the system drive. You can select the capacity of unallocated space in other drives to extend C drive.

Extend Partition Wizard

The wizard is very easy to use. You can choose one or more partitions to extend system drive simultaneously. During the processing, it is workable to resize the resource partition’s size.

Tips: To extend system drive C, the features above won’t let you reboot the system. Meanwhile, it supports Windows 8/7/XP/Vista (both 32bit and 64bit).

Now, free download it to have fun!
