Rebuild MBR with MBR Repair Tool
From time to time you may get the error message “system missing” or "operating system not found" when you boot up your system. Actually, this does not mean that your system runs away; such errors are most likely caused by damaged Master Boot Record (MBR). In this case, you need to use some special tool to repair corrupted MBR to the computer without destroying any data. Now we have added the Rebuild MBR feature in AOMEI Partition Assistant. The following are the detailed steps about how to rebuild MBR with AOMEI Partition Assistant.
Before you do
Download the disk partition software first.
Supposing your computer unable to boot, on this condition, you need to create WinPE bootable CD with AOMEI Partition Assistant on another computer. After that, you can start your computer and rebuild its MBR by using this Bootable CD to first boot into the failed computer.
There is another way to rebuild corrupted MBR when you can’t boot your computer: Unplug your disk that need to be fixed and plug this disk to another machine or your friend’s computer, and run AOMEI Partition Assistant on your friend’s computer, and Rebuild MBR for the disk.
To rebuild MBR
step1. Install and launch the MBR repair tool to its main interface. Select the disk and right-click the disk to choose Rebuild MBR, or in the main menu select Disk -> Rebuild MBR;

step2. Set up the type of MBR to rebuild in Rebuild MBR window. And then the program will set the type of MBR for your OS. (Choose a proper MBR type according to your operating system)

step3. Click Apply on the toolbar to commit Rebuild MBR operation.

Notes:
Rebuild corrupted MBR only can solve problems such as MBR code has been damaged. It’s beyond Rebuild MBR’s power to deal with OS unbootable problem which is caused by bootable file or system file missing.
Rebuild MBR would not lead to any kind of data loss. However, improperly Rebuild corrupted MBR might cause your computer unbootable. So, you’d better learn more relevant knowledge before you execute Rebuild MBR operation.
