Restoring from bootable CD allows you to fix the system even if it has been damaged or become unable to boot due to some unexpected accidents. AOMEI Tech has presented us a free Windows PE tool recently. This free Windows PE tool named AOMEI PE Builder includes AOMEI Partition Assistant as well as AOMEI Backupper. Using AOMEI Backupper in Windows PE to restore the system is like a lifesaver.

About AOMEI PE Builder, it does not require AIK or WAIK. We can create a bootable CD in AOMEI PE Builder directly. A windows PE environment with Windows Disk Management, AOMEI Backupper, AOMEI Partition Assistant and some other software have been built in AOMEI PE Builder.

First we need to create a backup image for the system. Download and launch AOMEI Backupper. Choose Backup in the main window.

Choose System backup. Then specify a location for saving the system image. Here we can also enable VSS, change the name of the backup task, select the compression level etc. Click Next to proceed.

When the system image is created, let’s use AOMEI PE Builder to create a bootable CD. After reading the terms and conditions, we can select the bootable device: CD/DVD, USB Flash Drive. Here we choose CD/DVD. The rest is to follow the wizard and complete the bootable CD creation process.

If any accident happens in the future, we can use this prepared bootable CD to access into Windows PE environment that once built in AOMEI PE Builder.

In Windows PE, click on AOMEI Backupper’s icon and select Restore in the main page. Choose the image of the system then follow the wizard again to recover the system.
