Step 1. Install and run the Crucial clone tool. On the main interface, go to Clone > Clone Disk.

Step 2. Here is a pop-up window, and we recommend you use “Clone Disk Quickly”, which will clone only used space to save copy time and storage space. Then, click Next.

Note: “Sector-by-Sector Clone” will copy all sectors no matter it is used or not. It will take more time and occupy more space on the target disk, accordingly. This way can help you to clone BitLocker drive or clone hard drive with bad sector.

Step 3. Choose the source old disk as your source disk. Then, click on Next button.

Step 4. Select your target disk. Here, since you copy the old disk to Crucial SSD, you should tick the box before “Optimize the performance of SSD”, which can improve the performance of your Crucial SSD. Click Next.

Step 5. You can edit your Crucial SSD here. Resizing the partition as you want by click the options. (The Crucial SSD can be larger or smaller than your old drive as long as it is equal or larger than the data size of your old drive.)

Step 5. Read the Note and click "Finish".

Step 6.  You will be back to the main interface of AOMEI Partition Assistant, and then click “Apply” to implement the operation.

After the process is over, if you cloned a system disk and need to keep both the HDD and Crucial SSD on the computer, you may need to enter the BIOS to set Crucial SSD as the boot drive.
