The reasons to resize C drive

Therefore, even C drive has a small problem, your computer may suffer a big trouble. For example, the most common problem of C drive is low disk space, and when you meet the warning, serious sufferings are coming - for small, your computer will run slowly and cannot react to commands immediately; for big, your screen may be gray and cannot work at all. Here, in order to solve the low disk space problem, you need to resize C drive, that is, extend it to optimize disk space usage and get powerful partition and hard disk management to increase the efficiency of Windows-based system administration. How to extend C drive? There are two solutions to solve the problem, one is to do the job with Disk Management, another is with free AOMEI Partition Assistant.
How to resize C drive?
As we already understand the importance of C drive and the reason why resize C drive, next we will talk about how to do this job.
Solution 1: Resize C drive with Disk Management
Disk Management is the built-in software of Windows 10/8/7. When you want to extend a partition with this tool, usually you cannot achieve the job directly. For instance, when you use Disk Management to extend C drive there must be a contiguous unallocated space right behind it, if not, you need to delete the partition right behind C drive so to make an unallocated space, then extend C drive into unallocated space. In this way, you will suffer a big risk of data loss.
Step 1: In the following situation, D drive is the partition right behind C drive. Right click D drive and select "Delete Volume".
There will be a pop-up window, which will note you that this operation will erase all the data on D drive, and select “YES”. If there are some important data on it, you need to backup first with AOMEI Backupper.
Step 2: Right click C drive and select "Extend Volume".
Solution 2: Resize C drive with free AOMEI Partition Assistant
