Solve: Windows Could Not Format A Partition on Disk 0

13>. It will remind you “The partition might contain recovery files, system files, or important software from your computer manufacturer. If you format this partition, any data stored on it will be lost”. Click OK.

Windows command prompt also can help you format partition on disk 0 for reinstalling. But you also need a Windows installation disc.

1). Boot the computer with Windows 7 installation disc. Select Repair your computer in the following window, and select “Use Recovery Tools...”.

2). Next, select Command Prompt.

3). Type diskpart to open the diskpart command prompt with in administrative privileges.

4). Typelist disk. It will show you a list of disks on your computer.

5). Type select disk [n] to select your disk out of the list above. Here we type: select disk 0.

6). Type clean, it will clean the disk.
7). Type create partition primary, it will create new partition.
8). Type select partition 1.
9). Type active to activate the partition on the disk.
10). Type format fs=ntfs to do a full format into NTFS.

11). Type exit when the format is finished. then type exit to exit from command prompt.
After that, you can reinstall Windows 7 once again.
