To protect data stored on partition: cloning partition with important files saved as backup can avoid data loss when the partition is corrupted/damaged.
To upgrade system disk to SSD without OS installation: cloning Windows OS partition to SSD can avoid reinstall Windows operating system and other applications installed on OS partition.
Effective partition copy software for Windows
To clone partition to SSD or HDD successfully, I’ll introduce you rather simple yet powerful partition cloning software for Windows 10/8/7, XP and Vista – AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional. It is with Partition Copy Wizard and Migrate OS to SSD Wizard. The first one should be applied if you need to copy non-system partitioin like copying HP Recovery partition; the second one shall be employed when you need to copy OS drive in Windows. You can choose one based on your specific demands.
