Specified steps of resizing partition
As free partition assistant, AOMEI has done a good job no matter in resize/move/split/copy/create/delete/format partition or in other advanced operations. Set resizing Partition D as example.
Step 1: Launch AOMEI Partition Assistant Lite Edition. In the middle pane, right click partition D and click Resize Partition in the pop-up widget.
Step 2: A small window comes out, with a slider bar to drag leftwards to specify the new location. Also, you can type in the accurate number of partition size. Click OK to continue.
Note: the new location should be at least equal or larger than the original partition after resizing.
Step 3: Now there is a large unallocated space right behind partition D. Right click partition D and click Move Partition this time.
Step 4: Drag the lower bar rightwards to move partition D to the right side, and then click OK.
Step 5: You see, the unallocated space has been parted into two. One is located after partition C, and the other one after partition D. Now, you can use the unallocated space to enlarge partition C. Right click partition C and choose Resize Partition. In the coming window, drag the slider bar till the end. Click OK to go on.
Step 6: Now you can have a preview of what changes you have made to partition D. you see, after resizing, partition D has been shrunk and partition C extended. Don’ forget to click APPLY to commit the change. There is still an unallocated space that locates right after partition D. With this unallocated space, you can create a new partition from right click on it; or you can resize partition D in the same way if you think it is not big enough.
