Benefits of OS migration to SSD
SSD is quite expensive in terms of per GB in comparing with HDD, but it is highly valued by users for its benefits and good performances. You may spend less time in booting machine up, starting applications, and you may also cut downtime, video-editing time and cut power consumption, etc. So if you want to optimize your computer’s performance and to speed up the boot up time and downtime, migrating OS to a SSD is a good solution. Moreover, OS migration to SSD allows you to take it anywhere so that you can launch the system on any machine.
There are different ways to migrate OS to SSD, you may migrate OS to SSD with Windows built-in utilities, but that could be a complicated process. So here I would like to introduce other ways of migrating OS to SSD—clone and migrate.
Different ways of OS migration to SSD
Migrate OS to SSD with snap-in tools on Windows is not so easy, so clone and migrate could be good choices and in that case you need to use two utilities named AOMEI Backupper and AOMEI Partition Assistant. Both of them are developed by AOMEI Tech and very powerful in functions.
Method 1: clone OS to SSD with AOMEI Backupper
AOMEI Backupper’s ‘disk/partition clone’ function allows you to migrate OS to SSD without reinstallation, and with its help, you can also backup and restore disk/partition.
You may refer to how to migrate operating system to SSD without reinstallation.
Note: If destination disk is a dynamic disk, you need to convert dynamic disk to basic one, and the data on the source disk would be covered, so you need to backup important data first to prevent form loss.

Method 2: Migrate OS to SSD with AOMEI Partition Assistant
Apart from migrating OS to SSD by clone with AOMEI Backupper, you can also use AOMEI Partition Assistant and its ‘Copy Partition’ wizard can clone OS to SSD as well. But this time, I’d like to introduce its ‘Migrate OS to SSD or HDD’ function and this could be the easiest way ever to migrate your OS to SSD without reinstallation and data loss.
Please refer to how to migrate OS to SSD with AOMEI Partition Assistant.
AOMEI Partition Assistant is more powerful than that and you can manage your disk, partition or volume well with its assistant. Now, you may download it to have a try.
